The romantic Sujan Jawai is located deep in the heart of Rajasthan’s breathtaking environment.
There are eight luxury tents, and one Royal Tented Suite scattered amid the caves, kopjes, winding sand rivers, and towering granite outcrops.
Each suite has a stylish design scheme of grey, black, and white with a splash of crimson red to represent the turbans worn by the nomadic Rabari people.
The large, opulent tents are beautifully designed with canvas, stainless steel, and leather, and they come with a private bathroom with a hot shower, a writing desk, and a lounge space that looks out into the great natural splendor.
The Royal Tented Suite is the pinnacle of luxury in the African wilderness, with its heated pool, personal butler, and 4×4 for exploring the area at your leisure.

Indulge in wonderful cuisine with ingredients harvested from the garden or obtained from nearby farms.
  • Enjoy fresh salads, spaghetti, and seafood while gazing out at the beautiful scenery in the dining tent. Participate in the live kitchen and interact with the chefs while they prepare your meal.
  • Enjoy a meal over a roaring fire while gazing at the skies.
  • Enjoy private, romantic dinners in rustic settings and revel in the environment’s peace. Savor meals by the water’s side for lunch or a picnic in the woods for breakfast.

Numerous exciting pursuits may be carried out in this setting. Take a game drive in the morning and one in the afternoon, then take a walk along the lakeshore to see the colorful flamingos and migratory fishing settlements.
Wander through vibrant Indian villages and chat with local artisans, including potters, bangle makers, and weavers, as you learn about life in rural India.
You may watch devoted worshipers in tiny temples and shrines, or you can lace up your walking shoes and explore the woods in search of the energetic Rabari ranchers who inhabit the region.
Style
The camp blends in with the stunning scenery around it because of the choice of a monochromatic color scheme of grey, black, and white. The design’s central element, a marriage of metal and canvas, moves JAWAI away from its usual medium.
Anjali and Jaisal Singh created the tubular, brushed-steel furniture of the 1930s industrial style.
It’s stocked with decorative items like candlesticks and lamps from Michael Aram’s Botanical Leaf Collection, which he designed while living in India. The natural world often influences his art, so collaborating with JAWAI was a natural fit for his aesthetic.
The interiors are tastefully coordinated, with a crimson accent drawn from the color of the Rabari turban to complement the otherwise monochromatic white and black.

Luxury tents

Each luxury tent at JAWAI is handcrafted from canvas, stainless steel, and leather and has a private veranda with a writing desk and lounging area that looks out into unrestricted, breathtaking views of the surrounding dramatic environment.
The camp has a subtle sophistication thanks to native stone and stainless steel. An ingenious and well-designed private toilet is included in each tent.

Dining and Cuisine

There is no “fixed time” for meals at JAWAI; rather, they are scheduled to coincide with safari drives and other activities. Impress your guests with your culinary skills in this chic dining tent.
Salads and fresh pasta or seafood caught by local fishermen are prepared in front of your eyes in the open kitchen. When eating around the campfire or in the Boma, people may talk about their adventures and make new acquaintances.
Private dinner experiences at JAWAI are as memorable as they are exclusive. What could be more spectacular than a private dining room with a view of the vast JAWAI wilderness from atop a granite kopje? Options for meals, such as breakfasts in the woods, picnics in the wild, lunches by the lakes, and warm evenings beneath the stars of an endless sky, are breathtaking.
Travel information
Jawai is around 130 kilometers from both Udaipur and Jodhpur. The Kumbalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is nearby.
Daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai arrive in Udaipur and Jodhpur, the two closest airports. Then, the travel from either airport will take you three hours.
Another option is to take the overnight train from New Delhi to the station at Jawai Bandh, which is about 20 minutes away from the camp.

Big Docile Cats

Several hundred leopards live in and near Jawai Bandh. Isn’t it exciting to be close to these massive, tame cats? Tourists looking for an adrenaline rush in their otherwise mundane lives are increasingly drawn to the area because of the prevalence of these large felids.
If you go on a safari here, you will probably see a leopard within the first hour. Because leopards are solitary animals, it’s hard for the estimated 60–70 leopards today to congregate in a single sleeping area.
A large cat of this kind may always be seen here, resting on the rocks. The villagers claim they apply this strategy when deciding where to hunt next.

When to travel?

Because of its location, SUJAN Jawai is only accessible during the cooler months, from September 20th through April 30th.
